This week, we’re excited to bring you a recipe from a very talented cook, JSA’s Transportation Processing Manager Tania Call. It’s a fresh salad that’s easy to make ahead of time. Also, bacon and cheese? Yes and yes. Thank you, Tania!

Tania's Pea Salad

Tania’s Pea Salad

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup homemade Sunny Italy creamy Italian dressing (or make your own)
  • seasoned salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 16 oz bag of frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 6 pieces of bacon cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sugar, seasoned salt, and ground black pepper. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, stir together frozen peas, shredded cheese, bacon crumbles, and red onion. Stir in the mayonnaise mixture until everything is covered.
  • Cover and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
